John Marks
President, CEO
John Marks is the President and CEO of JDMi and started the company out of the basement of his house in February 2001. Today, JDMi's revenues will surpass $100 million.
Mr. Marks' career in the technology solutions industry began in 1984 at a small technology distribution company. In 1985, Mr. Marks joined a small computer reseller call MPK Computing which eventually changed its identity to CDW. As the 4th employee of CDW, Mr. Marks was an equity partner of the company until 1990. CDW is a Fortune 500 company and now sold to a private equity company for over $7 billion. Mr. Marks has the distinction of being one of the first two salespeople at the company and made the very first sale in the company history.
After stops at Elek-Tek and Hartford Computer Group in top leadership positions, Mr. Marks began JDMi with the vision of building a full service solutions reseller - one that offers an aggressive price with a host of value added services reaching corporate America nationwide.
Mr. Marks' strategy has paid off. With aggressive growth since its inception, JDMi has been recognized in various industry magazines like Computer Reseller News, VAR Business and others. Mr. Marks is known to be one of the top experts in the United States on the computer channel and is often quoted and consulted for his visions and opinions on the computer industry.
